CDM conducted a 4-month capital project needs assessment to assist the university in improving the working protocols between the Office of Planning, Design, and Construction and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety regarding capital project planning, design, and construction. The ultimate goal of this needs assessment was to deliver capital projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining regulatory compliance.
CDM evaluated and documented procedures for the capital project planning, design, and construction process and developed recommendations to implement the needs assessment. CDM's efforts resulted in the implementation of an alternative capital projects management system, including data management and communication coordination methods.
