Telecommunications Call Center

CDM completed a fast-track design-build renovation of a 45,000-square-foot former supermarket facility to construct Citizens Communications' new 400-employee telecommunications call center. CDM's work involved a complete interior renovation, including structural, mechanical, electrical retrofit, and installation of extensive voice and data networks.  The new facility includes offices/cubicles, a kitchen/employee lounge, conference rooms, customer service/payment centers, and equipment storage.

The project involved numerous CDM construction crews and onsite subcontractors, making coordination paramount.  Further complicating the project was its fast-track nature, requiring permitting, design, and construction to be complete in less than 5 months. CDM's unique ability to perform the majority of the construction using in-house craft resources enabled the team to compress the construction schedule by more than 2 months and complete the $3 million project ahead of schedule and on budget.
