When Oswego County needed a lasting solution for repairing its Minetto Bridge Road, one that would ensure a reliable means of transportation far into the future, it teamed with CDM to provide preliminary and final design services to rehabilitate the road, extend the service life of the four-span bridge, and maintain a safe and functional stream crossing at the project's location.
In addition, CDM's project responsibilities included in-depth inspection of the bridge using an under-bridge truck inspection unit, as well as investigations to determine the nature, extent, and significance of the project on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Coast Guard defined-navigable waters. The project also involved screening for hazardous wastes and contamination within the project site. In the final stages of project design, CDM completed the plans, specifications, and the construction cost estimate for the project and submitted them to the county for bidding-thus initiating the construction of this important infrastructure repair project.
