On behalf of Sindicatum Carbon Capital, a London-based investment bank, CDM is conducting assessments of methane generation rates from landfills in developing countries under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Clean Development Mechanism. As part of the effort, CDM's solid waste management specialists evaluated the potential for carbon credit projects at landfills in China, Indonesia, Jordan, Mexico, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. In the current project phase, CDM is providing design services of landfill gas collection systems for multiple landfill sites throughout eastern China.
