CDM provides land-based environmental and engineering services for HJAIA, including a broad range of engineering, regulatory, and program management services for most environmental issues affecting the airport. Projects vary from wetland permitting to evaluating construction impacts on historic and archeological features, as well as endangered species. CDM also developed a one-of-a-kind geographic information system and environmental database to assist with immediate responses to airfield environmental emergencies, enhance the department's ability to track tenant activities, and facilitate the generation of necessary periodic state reports.
Other projects have included a land acquisition database, deicing pads, stormwater management system, sanitary sewer evaluation, underground storage tank compliance and upgrade, and solid waste master plan.
CDM also assisted with the development of the Tenant Environmental Compliance Guide to inform existing and future airport tenants of environmental issues within airport boundaries.
