In a major expansion project at this state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facility, CDM relocated 15 labs—a total of 30,000 square feet—and designed a new 35,000-square-foot clean room in the vacated space. The project included design of high-tech manufacturing processes, support and delivery systems for chemicals, deionized water and wastewater collection, as well as the design and installation of hydrogen furnaces, five new makeup air handlers, a process exhaust system, process vacuum system, regenerative thermal oxidizer system, and upgrades to site utilities. The aggressive 12-month schedule was met by parallel design teams and careful construction sequencing.
