Folsom Dam, the largest U.S. reservoir located within a dense urban area, needs upgrades and repairs to strengthen flood protection along the American and Sacramento river corridors, and to ensure an uninterrupted supply of water and hydroelectric power.
CDM is helping the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers complete the necessary environmental planning and permitting of this major construction project. The project will involve rigorous attention to several challenges, such as transporting up to 3 million cubic yards of materials, managing air quality and noise, and protecting endangered species.
