
CDM has provided disaster response and emergency management services to communities and counties in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, and California. Services include communication recovery, resident engineering management, debris removal, landfill repair, bridge and dam repair, and damage assessments and repair to water/wastewater treatment facilities.
In support of FEMA's Public Assistance and Individual Assistance -Technical Assistance Contracts (PA-TAC & IA-TAC), CDM rapidly mobilized more than 120 staff in response to various disaster sites nationwide, including responses to hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne in 2004, the California landslides, Ohio flooding, and hurricanes Dennis, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma in 2005. Applied GIS technology to provide real-time visualization in managing debris removal from affected sites

Directly supported St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, by providing more than100 locally based experts to conduct asbestos inspections and debris monitoring and removal services

Produced GIS debris maps and performance reports as part of daily situation reports to FEMA headquarters, Department of Homeland Security, and the White House

Mobilized trained debris monitors and specialists

Mobilized experts in civil and coastal engineering, transportation planning, economic development, urban and community planning, public finance, and administration to assist with outreach and Long-Term Community Recovery plans (LTCR)
Additionally, CDM is under contract to the Environmental Protection Agency Region III, and provided more than 30 staff to respond to the Capitol Hill anthrax incident in 2001.
