CDM was retained as the commissioning authority for the design and construction of a 12-story office building in downtown Chicago, which will serve as the new headquarters for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). CDM acted as an objective advocate of CTA in the commissioning process to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification.
CDM reviewed the design intent, basis of design, construction drawings and specifications, providing recommendations to CTA toward the achievement of a Silver LEED® Certification. CDM developed the commissioning plan that identified all commissioned features and systems and assisted in developing the commissioning requirements to be integrated into construction documents.
