CDM has worked with Bayer HealthCare for more than 20 years on a number of assignments. The original project involved the selection of the Walpole location as the operational site to accommodate projected growth in Bayer's immuno-diagnostics business. The site was designed to easily accommodate expanded manufacturing and research and development requirements, effectively maximizing utilization with consideration to overall traffic flow and site security.
CDM's in-depth knowledge of diagnostic test manufacturing and research processes provided Bayer with fast-track programs as well as cost-effective, efficient design and construction concepts. CDM has helped to expand the facility by a total of 330,000 square feet from the original 65,000-square-foot facility, and supported Bayer in evaluating operations consolidation for the Walpole site that were consistent with the site's original master plan.
