Federal Emergency Management Agency

CDM supports the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and in emergency response to disasters. For the NFIP, CDM has provided services for FEMA's map modernization program, which combines state-of-the-art information technology with traditional hydrologic and hydraulic engineering to develop digital floodplain maps that are used to establish flood insurance rates and to help plan flood damage mitigation. In response to major disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, CDM rapidly mobilizes teams of technical experts to complete damage assessments, to manage debris removal and other cleanup work, to help direct federal aid to affected individuals and communities, and to assist local authorities in reconstruction efforts.

CDM services are available to the Department of Homeland Security through many contracting vehicles including indefinite delivery contracts with the FEMA and with the U.S. Coast Guard.
