CDM has supported Department of Defense (DoD) programs at more than 100 Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, and Reserve installations from coast to coast, in Europe, and in Iraq. CDM services have covered DoD’s environmental, base realignment and closure (BRAC); military construction (MILCON); operations and maintenance (O&M), base operating support (BOS); and sustainability, restoration, and maintenance (SRM) missions. In the environmental arena, CDM completed more than 300 task orders in support of the installation restoration program, pollution prevention, conservation, and diverse regulatory compliance requirements. CDM conducts studies and planning to help bases meet BRAC and property transfer needs.
Under the MILCON and O&M missions, CDM provides initial planning studies, preliminary designs, development of MILCON and O&M budget estimates, and development of initial programming documentation in the form of DD1391 documentation. CDM has provided HVAC designs and stormwater management designs for runways and taxiways under the BOS mission. Our SRM services include planning, design, design-build, and construction management for such diverse projects as runway pavement rehabilitation, base electrical distribution upgrades, building renovations including asbestos and lead and new water supply and wastewater treatment facilities. Also under the SRM mission, CDM provides staff augmentation to base civil engineering squadrons at various air force bases, including support for installations recovering from damage sustained during Hurricane Katrina.
CDM services are available to DoD installations and agencies through numerous architect-engineer and construction contract vehicles. Most of our DoD clients—U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Districts, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Air Force Civil Engineering Support Agency, and Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence—have awarded CDM repeat business.
