When should I apply for a co-op or intern position?
We hire student employees throughout the year, and each school maintains its own schedule for their respective co-op and intern programs. Therefore, check with the career center at your school for additional information on its policies and procedures. Typically, we begin to collect resumes for summer opportunities in the middle of March.
What qualifications do you look for in a co-op or intern?
CDM employs a wide range of co-ops and interns at all stages of their education, including those students seeking their bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in many different majors. Our student co-ops and interns maintain a high grade point average and are leaders on and off campus. We look for students who want to make a tangible contribution to projects and who are dedicated, enthusiastic, and excited about learning.

What is it like to be a co-op or intern at CDM?
CDM has more than 100 offices worldwide, with our co-ops and interns working mainly in our many U.S. locations-side by side with talented CDM employees. Our student employees have the opportunity to network across the firm with professionals ranging from other co-ops and interns to recent graduates and more experienced staff.
Do your returning co-ops and interns work in the same location and position during each work period or is there flexibility in the locations and positions offered to them?
On a case-by-case basis, our returning student employees may be able to work in a different location or position, depending on the current openings in our offices.
Will I receive college credit for my work experience at CDM?
Your ability to receive college credit for your time at CDM depends on your school's co-op and intern regulations. Check with the career center on your campus for more information. However, it is our experience that most of our student employees receive college credit for their work with the firm.
Does CDM hire its co-ops and interns for full-time positions after graduation?
We have a long history of employing our co-ops and interns in full-time positions after graduation. It is never too early to start looking at full-time opportunities at CDM. We hope the work experiences our co-ops and interns have sparks an interest in the organization for the future.
