Water is perhaps the most precious resource in the world, yet only 2 percent of the water available on Earth is fresh. Availability of this limited supply is further complicated by its uneven distribution around the globe. While a number of the world's largest river basins run through relatively uninhabited regions, in many populated areas there is much less water than required. These rivers and streams, and the groundwater which replenishes them, are critical resources and competition for use of this water can be fierce. Therefore, restoring impaired sources and identifying new sources, is critical. For more than 50 years, CDM has applied its expertise to developing new water sources, remediating contaminated supplies, replenishing and restoring aquifers, and meeting stringent water quality standards while helping balance the world's conflicting water needs.
