Water Reuse - Wastewater

Water reclamation and reuse have become increasingly attractive options for water conservation and effluent disposal—eliminating surface water discharges, improving water quality, and reducing irrigation and other non-potable demands on potable water supplies. CDM works with individual communities to tailor effective, economical water reuse and conservation programs that meet the specific water resources needs.

As a leader in water reuse systems, CDM wrote the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Guidelines for Water Reuse (pdf), the definitive guide for planning, designing, and operating success agricultural, industrial, recreational, and residential reuse systems.

For both large and small systems, CDM offers the range of services that can be required by reuse and effluent disposal programs. We provide master planning, site specific studies, hydraulic modeling and design of transmission and distribution pipe line systems, design of treatment facilities, construction coordination, operation and maintenance services, financing assistance, public awareness programs, regulatory liaison, and negotiation of reuse agreements. Our diverse staff of engineers and scientists has worked on reuse projects ranging from spray irrigation to indirect potable reuse, and our experience includes development of reclaimed water ordinances and user agreements.
