Wastewater
Since the founding of our firm in 1947, CDM has been at the forefront of the planning, design, and construction of wastewater collection and treatment systems. CDM has designed more than 1,000 wastewater pollution control and treatment plants around the world. Our wastewater capabilities include:
- Facilities Planning - Master planning, regulatory compliance, security, pilot testing, systems optimization, organizational enhancements, preliminary and final design, implementation plans, and funding strategies.
- Collection - I/I evaluations and hydraulic systems modeling, control of combined and sanitary sewer system overflows, trenchless infrastructure rehabilitation, and real-time controls.
- Treatment - Process evaluation, pilot testing, design, construction and design-build of wastewater treatment facilities including high-rate clarification, membrane treatment, biological nutrient removal, and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection.
- Reuse - Planning and design of aquifer recharge; agricultural, industrial reuse, recreational, and urban reuse systems, and wetlands augmentation.
- Biosolids Management - Planning, design, and construction of biosolids treatment facilities (including treatment to meet Class A criteria) and animal waste management systems.
