Heightened concern about greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is creating new challenges for business and local government. Industry faces increasing pressure to reduce or offset GHG emissions from regulators, shareholders, lenders, insurers, and customers. CDM is now a member of the Methane to Markets Partnership, an international initiative that advances cost-effective, near-term methane recovery and use as a clean energy source. The partnership focuses on four sources of methane emissions: agriculture (animal waste management), coal mines, landfills, and oil and gas systems.
