The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) is a federal law enacted in 1976 to address the treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. In RCRA, Congress established initial directives and guidelines for EPA to regulate and manage solid waste, and to prevent new, uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. RCRA compliance requires safe and secure procedures to be used in treating, transporting, storing and disposing of hazardous wastes, as well as systematic tracking of these substances from generation to final disposal.
At CDM, our goal is to prevent industrial waste problems through timely, cost-effective professional services aimed at RCRA compliance. We offer comprehensive services to support adherence to RCRA’s hazardous waste regulations, from short-term compliance assessments and facility audits to long-term program planning and corrective action support. CDM has prepared RCRA Part A and B permits; developed waste minimization and closure plans; investigated complex contamination problems; and developed, designed, constructed, and operated site remediation and facility treatment systems.
