D&D Design and Implementation

Using our depth of resources in planning, design, and construction, CDM takes singular responsibility for all aspects of decommissioning and demolition (D&D) project delivery, from initial concept development through design, construction, decommissioning, and operations and maintenance. CDM professionals maintain a complete understanding of state and local building codes and understand both environmental and regulatory requirements associated with D&D activities.

CDM has the capability to provide simple design or construction items, such as adding a gas-fired air handler to maintain minimal temperatures, to complex designs, like the complete utility separation of electrical power, hot and chilled water supplies, steam and condensate supply and return, and fire protection and life safety systems. CDM engineers have written numerous decontamination procedures as part of facility design efforts, realizing that retrofit designs are dependent on proper D&D of existing systems.
