CDM Wins National Well Workplace Award

CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS—The Wellness Councils of America recently awarded CDM a Silver Well Workplace Award—recognizing the firm "among the elite group of America's Healthiest Companies." Be Well, CDM's employee health and wellness program, was evaluated during an in-depth application process by a panel of reviewers who, through designation of the Well Workplace Award, acknowledged CDM's commitment to improving the health and well-being of its employees.
The mission of Be Well is to serve as a comprehensive program that provides the information and tools to help CDM employees and their families lead healthy lives. It is the firm's hope that through proactive efforts to prevent illness and injury, detect and treat health problems early, and promote fitness and health, CDM will not only see a reduction in health care costs, but also promote positive morale and productivity, thus attracting and retaining the best and brightest professionals to CDM.
The Be Well campaign focuses on three themes—knowledge, fitness, and nutrition—to reinforce their importance as a wellness strategy. Examples of ongoing program components include an annual educational seminar series, health screenings, flu shot clinic/vouchers, companywide summer exercise challenge, distribution of wellness information through internal newsletters, and a personal health assessment.
