CDM to Co-Sponsor Forum on Greenhouse Gas Management for Companies

August 17, 2007

NEW YORK, NEW YORK—On Friday, September 7, CDM is co-sponsoring "AB 32: Carbon Rainbows Over the Golden State," fourth in a series of workshops on rapidly evolving greenhouse gas regulations.

The dynamic seminar will provide an overview of AB 32, the California Global Warming Solutions Act, and discuss how the law is influencing regulatory development in other states and affecting companies across the United States. The session will also explore associated risks; the timing and degree of required reductions; cap and trade prospects; greenhouse gas protocols, inventories, reporting, rule-making, and management opportunities; regulatory and litigation updates; clean technology, project, and credit investments; and how companies can plan for-and profit from-a carbon constrained future.

CDM industrial greenhouse gas management practice leader Allan Bedwell will be presenting, along with investment specialists and leaders from among the most affected industrial sectors. "With 41 states taking action on greenhouse gases, most are following California's lead," Bedwell explains.  "We'll be discussing the simple, cost-effective actions companies can take to address growing regulatory pressure, reduce their risks, and begin managing their greenhouse gas emissions."

The conference will be held in the offices of Cantor Fitzgerald at 110 East 59th Street (6th Floor) in New York. Discounted registration ends August 21st. For more information or to register, contact greenhousegas@cdm.com or call 212.829.5460.

The session qualifies for 3 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California.
