CDM Acquires Metrix Inc.
April 19, 2006
DENVER, COLORADO—CDM has acquired Metrix Inc., enhancing CDM's resources and service offerings in site remediation, environmental compliance, litigation support, and environmental business services. "We are committed to growing our expertise and developing new service offerings from within," says Hunter Nolen, president of CDM's Industrial Services Group. "At the same time, we actively seek opportunities to bring in complementary skills and capabilities that meet our clients' increasingly diverse needs. Metrix has specialized expertise that fits well with CDM's capabilities and that allows us to further expand our services to clients in the oil and gas, chemical manufacturing, electric generation, mining, and other sectors."
Metrix focuses on site remediation, environmental management and compliance, litigation support and expert witness testimony, and environmental business services, with specialized expertise in design-build remediation programs, as well as sediment remediation and geotechnical services. Metrix co-founder Dale Evans explains that the partnership with CDM will benefit clients because of the two firms' complementary resources and compatible business philosophies. "CDM and Metrix share a common vision for delivering exceptional client service, technical leadership, and value," Evans says. Charles "Chip" Mickel, who founded Metrix with Evans in 2001, adds, "Joining CDM is a logical step that allows us to serve our clients with an even greater range of skills and resources."
Metrix' employees-experts in civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering, as well as geology, environmental science, and related disciplines-will be located in Denver, Golden, and Basalt, Colorado, working closely with CDM's global network of remediation and environmental compliance specialists to serve clients throughout the United States and globally.
